Note From Mrs. Deuth: What a busy couple of weeks we’ve had! I feel so fortunate to have the opportunity to work with your children! At this time of year, we’re spending most of our day learning routines, how to walk in the hall, how to sit on the carpet, how to eat our lunch with our friends in the cafeteria, and the basics of name writing & Letter/number formation. The kids have impressed me with simple addition and subtraction problems! I love to see their light bulbs turn on! On Monday, I sent home a Volunteer Calendar for September. There are a few open spots. If you’re able to help, please let me know! You can look at this calendar on the classroom blog (see address below); just send me a note if you can fill an open spot. We had library today! Your child was able to check out a book! These are due back each Friday in order for your child to check out another one. Back-to-School Night is going to be Thursday, September 26 from 6:30-8:30. It is very important that at least one parent attend! This is a great opportunity for you to hear the kindergarten procedures & expectations as well as to hopefully clear up any confusion you may be having. We are asking children to stay home so we have a chance to speak without mini-interruptions.
